When discussing Tesla's vision for manufacturing automation, Elon has often referred to the "alien dreadnaught", a hyper-automated factory. In ramping up capacity for the Model 3, however, Tesla ended up using significantly more manual labor than originally planned. So is the "alien dreadnaught" no longer part of Tesla's future?
