In addition to auto manufacturing, Tesla is also making many of its own parts, runs its own stores, has its own charging network, develops its own software, makes its own self-driving chips, and also just entered the insurance business. Is Tesla making a mistake by trying to do too much, with the risk of ending up not being best-in-class in anything?
